Arrival at Emerald Sea

The program includes time at the beach, and specifically, the theoretically relaxing goal for the day is a boat trip to Suarez Island. Emerald Sea, a true paradise located not far from the coast, in the Indian Ocean. We meet at the beach of Ramena, where we board a small boat, accompanied by local youngsters who are responsible for steering the typical dhow and to the kitchen. When we leave the bay, the waves don't allow escape and it feels like being at the mercy of fate. The hoisted sail tilts the boat in a way that seems dangerous to us, but seeing the calm guides chatting among themselves, we convince ourselves that worrying would be inappropriate; therefore, we should enjoy the wonder surrounding us. At some point, we enter what can fully be defined as a natural swimming pool, shallow and with a white bottom, where the water takes on celestial tones. After at least an hour of sailing We arrive on an island. of those that you dream about while browsing catalogs advertising tropical vacations. Here we have free time for beach activities, including the opportunity to explore and wonder if such a place really exists, while the gentle breeze over the emerald sea barely ripples on this sheltered shore.
A trip by boat to try out some snorkeling, although the area doesn't seem particularly rich in coral reefs, despite having a very impressive seabed. For lunch, the organizers were ready with... grilled fish (carangue) on the grill and seasoned with local spices, along with crabs and other seafood varieties. It's pointless to waste words describing how delicious the dish was. Just another couple of hours in paradise before heading back: tonight, we plan to go into town to... Ramena to have dinner at a small local restaurant (locally called "gargottes"). Of course, we eat fish, while the tide finally allows us to sit a few meters away from the beach.
