Day 15
Delhi
The capital of the most populous country in the world: a world of history and sights.
The urban face of Delhi
Delhi is the third largest metropolis in the world, and this alone would be enough to justify its chaos, especially considering that we are in India; there's really not much more to say. In fact, because it is a capital city, efforts have been made to make it a bit more livable, and compared to Varanasi, it feels like being on another continent. This doesn't mean that cows peacefully graze on the sidewalks and, when they want, in the middle of the road.
From a cultural perspective, Delhi is as rich and diverse as its population. We decide to select a portion of it, creating a combination based on the characteristics of the monuments and our interests:

- Lakshmi Narayan Temple It was built by the Birla family, a prominent business family.
- Moghul Garden : near Government Palace The timing is ideal for the blooming flowers, and it's definitely worth it – today is a holiday for schools, with thousands of children in uniform walking together with attentive teachers. It can be difficult to move around, but it's wonderful to see the flower gardens combined with so much youth.
- Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum is the home and the place where the murder took place a the Indian politician
- Lodi Gardens
- >> a break for some sweets that will support us for lunch
- Jama Mosque : the large Friday mosques
- Chandni Chowk with the his bazaars
- Digambar Jain Temple : Jain temple where entry is not permitted
- Shri Gauri Shankar Temple : Hindu temple
- Red Fort from the outside
- Gandhi Darshan (Photo 2)
- Gandhi Memorial
- Raj Ghat: park dedicated to the place where Gandhi was cremated.
It's time to head back. Tonight we won't be having dinner at the restaurant but at home, where Kahn's wife has prepared a delicious chicken that sees us off from this experience, which was primarily human, then also cultural, and why not, gastronomic. Eating with them and their two lively but well-mannered children is an unexpected and much appreciated gift.
